An extremely OVERDUE entry which was meant for 01 January 2013. We are already NEARLY halfway through the year but YAY!!! Better late than never they say! 😛
A great two months it was despite our vacation plans shelved due to our indecisive nature. We decided to do a Playcation instead and Tampines New Town as our first choice for accomodation. 😛
We visited Gardens by the Bay and the little one had was major excited by the heeeeeyugggggeeeeee waterfall.
We also took this long break to visit the zoo – not once, not twice but three times! In fact, it was a superb decision to visit the zoo more than once as we have more time to visit the exhibits and not rush to see all exhibits. Not forgetting ending our zoo trips at their magical water playground @ KidzWorld.
We even had the opportunity to catch a live play at Forum Shopping Center – CAT. It was truly an experience for Umar and myself. Firstly, I had low expectations of him sitting down the entire play but the performers are very expressive and animated that kept him rooted on the ground. Oh! The props and set-ups are simply so beautiful it felt enchanting.
Not forgetting our usual activities like morning or evening walks at the beach, plenty of swimming and visits to the Kids Kampong.
Of course, at the very last hour with work daunting for the husband, he decided we should at least go for a staycation. It was not easy because almost ALL hotels were already FULLY booked!! We wanted Sentosa because Sentosa is the only place in Singapore one can pretend to be away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Luckily for us, they were still vacancies for Movenpick. So here we were at Movenpick saying Goodbye to 2012 and welcoming 2013 with arms wide open.
2013, with God’s will, will be another year of hopes and dreams. It will definitely be a year of wonderful surprises and adventures. My only resolution for my family is to be a wholesome muslim family, InsyaAllah.
